His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Visit to the Tibetan Buddhist Society, 23 May 2002

His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited the Tibetan Buddhist Society's Community Meditation Centre on 23rd May 2002.

His Holiness said that he was visiting the Centre in acknowledgement of all that Geshe Thubten Loden had achieved in Australia over the last 25 years.

His Holiness was greeted by our Spiritual Head, Venerable Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden as he alighted from his car.

400 people lined the temple's main path, from the driveway to the temple main door. HH greeted many as he made his way up to the temple entrance.

Inside, HH cut a special ribbon, and at the entrance made prostrations to the Buddha statue and other religious images.

Geshe-la composed and offered special verses of praise to His Holiness, and then HH gave short talk to the assembled audience.
